Immigration Law

UK Citizenship: The Government encourages visitors to integrate fully in to British Society. If the option of staying here becomes available then those who take an active part in the community are now able to obtain citizenship and extend their UK visa.

In order to extend a Visa to a Work Permit, active citizenship must be demonstrated. A migrant worker may volunteer, undertake charitable work or take part in an activity that advances education, health, community welfare or the natural environment and this includes work that benefits children, teenagers or vulnerable groups.

Active citizenship is encouraged before a work permit is presented. This helps integration by creating greater contact with the local society and provides people with new experiences and contacts.
